Skin Checks

Australia is known to have one of the highest skin cancer rates in the world. At Dermscope our goal is to provide quality and accessible skin assessment to assist patients in becoming more aware of any skin changes.

Skin assessments at Dermscope are performed by qualified Dermal Clinicians and Dermoscopist that use dermoscopy to assess lesions and identify any features that may need further medical assessment.

What is a Dermoscopy?

Dermoscopy is a non invasive skin examination technique that uses a specialised magnifying device (dermatocope) to assess structures within skin lesions.

What is a Dermoscopist?

A dermoscopist is an individual who has undergone training in order to perform skin cancer screening. Throughout the screening the dermoscopist will identify suspicious lesions. If any suspicious lesions are found, the dermoscopist will then refer the patient for further medical attention.
